Tokenomics: Airdrops, Predictions, and Founder Allocations
LAPTOP’s supply is split into three buckets. Twenty percent will be distributed through community airdrops, including to wallets that lost money on Trump’s TRUMP token. Another 30% is tied to political, crypto, and cultural predictions — tokens linked to correct outcomes get burned, while those tied to failed predictions go to charity. The remaining 30% is allocated to founders, including Biden, with tokens subject to lockups and vesting schedules.
Warning to Buyers: Don’t Expect Price Gains
Biden was explicit with potential buyers: « You should not expect me or anyone else to make this token more valuable for you. LAPTOP isn’t just about owning something, it’s about saying something. »
Backlash From Crypto Community
The reaction from traders has been largely hostile. A major crypto exchange removed a promotional post after pushback from users. A video journalist also distanced himself from the project after learning his audience was included in the planned token distribution. The blockchain where LAPTOP will launch, built by a prominent US exchange, clarified that there is no official partnership — the project approached the team, which made a « conscious decision » not to assist with design or promotion.
TRUMP Token’s Painful Benchmark
Biden pointed to Trump’s TRUMP token as a cautionary tale. After peaking in 2025, the token has fallen sharply, leaving nearly one million wallets with a combined $3.8 billion in losses — figures Biden cited to frame LAPTOP as a corrective experiment rather than another speculative gamble.
