Driven by the heightened volatility in the energy sector, the state-controlled firm reported a net profit of 52.4 billion reais, representing a staggering 96% increase compared to the previous year.

This financial windfall comes at a time of significant geopolitical tension. Increased instability in the Middle East has pushed crude oil prices upward, providing a substantial tailwind for the company’s bottom line. The results have surpassed the consensus estimates of financial analysts, who had anticipated a lower profit margin.
